Welcome to the Number Six e-commerce site, thank you for taking the time to visit our new online store. As anyone who know's me will testify I hate talking about myself so I'll keep this brief... unlike Sam the Menswear Manager who will bombard you with boring facts and trivia, mostly about himself.
We set up Number Six in 2014 as we wished to offer an alternative approach to retail in Chelmsford and it's surrounding areas. I was inspired by my 20 years in the fashion industry and trips to great stores in London, Paris and New York and wanted to bring a little bit of that back home. We were delighted to be described as a 'Mini Liberty' by one of our Womenswear Brand Directors, high praise indeed!
I find constant inspiration by the brands we sell, like watching the Craftsman in the cutter room at Drakes hand making our silk ties in London or the eight week labour of love with over 160 separate processes in Northampton to make Joseph Cheaney Shoes. The list of great things our brands do is endless and a testimony to the great care that goes into making the product we sell.
Finally, the staff in store and now online have a vast amount of fashion retail experience and whether in store or online will strive to make your experience at Number Six a great one.
